Stine Segment I - Tie-back to Siri Platform
The Location
This new field development, located in the offshore Danish sector at a water depth of 63 meters, consists of two wells with a step out distance of 9.5 km to the Siri platform. Various pipelines for production, gas lift, water injection, and control and chemical injection will link the wells to the Siri platform.
The Requirement
Provide control and monitoring of two subsea wells with the option for expansion to control and monitor three subsea wells.
The Solution
Two diver installable Subsea Control Modules (SCMs) will be installed on two wells in the Stine Segment I reservoir located in Danish waters. Subsea inter-connectors will be installed via Remote Operating Vehicles (ROVs). Installation is to be designed with the option of expansion addressable by the addition of a third SCM.
The remaining control equipment which includes a Master Control Station, Hydraulic Power Unit, and Electric Power Unit will be installed on the Siri platform located 9.5 kms away from the subsea wells.
The installation consists of the following:
- Two subsea control modules with removable subsea electronics modules
- One topside master control station to control and monitor the subsea control modules
- One hydraulic power unit
- One electric power unit
- Two subsea distribution units
- Two subsea accumulator modules
- Hydraulic and electrical jumpers and connectors
- Installation and commissioning personnel
The Benefits
The subsea control system is a cost effective solution which meets all of the customer’s requirements. The addition of the Stine subsea development uses spare processing capacity on the Siri platform increasing overall production from the field.
