Electronic Gauge Cable Protectors

Weatherford offers a variety of customized cable protectors to suit different types of well applications. The type of cable protector required for a well depends on completion configuration, wellbore geometry and well type. The cable protector is also designed for specific tubing size, thread types, coupling dimensions, the specific number of control-line configurations and the overall dimensional fit requirements.

Features, Advantages and Benefits

Weatherford supplied cable protectors are one piece assemblies, tailor made to customer specifications of tubing size, coupling type and thread type using NACE conforming materials. Having been designed for any combination of control line configurations they will protect single or multiple control lines along the outside of the tubing. Depending on clamp design they can be used on vertical, horizontal, deviated or S-shaped wells. Available in low carbon or stainless steel they can be used in a sour gas environment. These quick and easy to install clamps reduce the risk of cable damage during the running in or pulling out of the completion string having profiles that deflect the tubing and therefore cable away from damaging casing contact which also prevents production string hang-ups.
